The Japanese demo for Dual Destinies is now available on the eShop, and it includes (what I assume is) the full animated intro for case one! Sorry for the quality of the shots - gotta make do with a phone camera until my 3DS recording setup is good to go in a week or two. The scene itself starts with the bombing, then plays a scene of Phoenix talking on his phone with someone unknown intercut with shots of Athena (they originally showed this at TGS), and finally showed Apollo in the courtroom, clenching a fist and looking up to the sky.
The actual gameplay part of the demo is unchanged from what’s available on the Japanese website.
The demo also has a slight variation on the trailer from the web demo - while almost totally the same, it includes brief scenes of Pearl and Klavier in the montage at the end.
Finally, the Japanese eShop notes Dual Destinies will not be available digitally. So it might just be that the physical version is Japan-only and the digital version English-only!
